General questions

Is an Escape Xperience also fun for children?

An Escape Xperience is fun to play with children, when they:

  • Can keep their attention on a game for 1.5 to 2 hours
  • Are willing to walk for 1.5 to 2 hours
  • Are able to read, count and calculate simple equations

Generally from about 10 years of age.

There are 5 or more of us, can we still play as one team?

Our advice is to play with teams of up to 4 people because it is most fun that way: everyone will be involved in the game. But it is not impossible to play with bigger teams. You decide!

We are with a larger group and play with several teams. How does that work?

Book the Xperience per team you will be playing with. For example, if you want to play with 3 teams, you book 3 times.

You will get 3 different sets of login credentials in that case. From each team, one member downloads the app on the phone and logs in with a combination of username and password as specified in the e-mail.
Then get started in intervals of 2 to 3 minutes so that you are not at the same puzzle at the same time.

How much playing time do we have?

For most Xperiences, the goal is to reach the end within 2 hours.
The exception is our Xperience in Maastricht, where the goal is to finish within 2.5 hours.

There is a total of 4 hours of play time. It is not possible to pause the game.

How long will my login code remain valid?

Login codes are valid for up to 3 months after the specified play date.

What does an Escape Xperience cost?

An Escape Xperience costs €25 per team of 1 to 4 people.

For large groups and companies, different rates apply and additional options are available at an additional cost. For more information, please refer to our page for large groups and companies.

I did not receive any start instructions and/or login credentials after submitting my booking!

Check your spam/junk folder first! Still no e-mail after 10 minutes? Then contact us by e-mail using our e-mail address: info@escape-xperience.nl. We will then make sure you get the login details as soon as possible. We are available daily and respond within 20 minutes!

Preparing for the Xperience

What app do I need to play the Xperience?

Go to the app store on your phone or download the Loquiz app from one of the links below:
Google Play (Android)
Apple App Store (iOS)

Please note that when you open the app Loquiz for the first time you allow Loquiz to:

  • Determine your location
  • Use the camera

If you do not allow Loquiz these permissions the app will not work properly and you will not be able to play the Escape Xperience properly.

When can I start?

After booking, you can start at any time. Play Escape Xperience during the day, or in the evening before the sun goes down.

Can I log in when I am at home?

You can log in at home and open the game. Be careful not to click through after the introductory text. When you enter the team name and start the game, your time starts running!

Questions while playing the Xperience

How does it work? How am I meant to play the Xperience?

Starting the Xperience

  1. Launch the app Loquiz.
  2. Log in using the username and password provided in the email with start instructions.
  3. Read the story and press "Okay."
  4. Come up with a team name and specify who is playing the game. Press "Okay" to start the game.
    This is when your playtime begins to count down.

Playing the Xperience

  1. Go to the starting location, indicated by an Escape Xperience Pin on the map. You may have to zoom out to see the pin.
  2. Once you arrive at the designated location, you will be given information and a puzzle or riddle. If necessary, use the hint to find the correct answer.
  3. Enter the answer and press "Okay"
  4. Look at the map to see where the next Escape Xperience pin is and walk there. You will be given another puzzle/riddle to solve.
  5. Continue in this way until you get to the final question. Use the hints you collected during the game to find the final location and walk there to complete the mission.

Are you missing too many hints? Then answer the bonus question to unlock all the missing hints.

The app is not working properly! What should I do?

Make sure you have the latest version of iOS or Android installed.
Make sure you have the latest version of the Loquiz app installed.
You can also play the game on the phone of one of the other team members. This is often the easiest and fastest way to fix problems:

  • Exit the game in the app
  • Download the app or the phone of one of the other team members
  • Log in with the same username and password
  • When you need to choose a team name, click "or resume with existing team" directly below it
  • Continue the game
My battery is almost dead and we have not finished the game! What should I do?

Preferably play the game on the player's phone with the most battery life. When your battery is dead:

  • Exit the game in the app
  • Download the app or the phone of one of the other team members
  • Log in with the same username and password
  • When you need to choose a team name, click "or resume with existing team" directly below it
  • Continue the game
